Over the past 12 months, each of the 16 ETBs across the country has collaborated with SOLAS, the public continuing education organization, to develop customized strategic plans over three years. SOLAS has also published a national agreement setting out sectoral objectives to which each ETB will contribute based on its local economic and community profile. Future Ready Learning – Strategic Performance Agreements: Developing the Further Education and Training System 2018 – 2020 describes how ETBs will have individual and collective outcomes in six key areas, including job creation in the economy; progression to other learning opportunities; the development of transversal skills; Develop lifelong learning and the provision of continuing training for the workforce.
